Made in Adelaide 2018 delegates announced
Two major theatrical productions will spearhead Arts South Australia’s 2018 Made in Adelaide program at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival in August.
In all, 18 South Australian artists and arts organisations will share in funding to present shows at the festival under the Made in Adelaide banner, encompassing theatre, music, cabaret and dance.
In a first for the cultural export program, two major multi-company productions will be presented: Brink Productions‘ critically acclaimed show The Aspirations of Daise Morrow, a 360-degree immersive theatre work featuring a live score by Zephyr Quartet; and dynamic new dance work The Spinners, an international collaboration between Scotland and Australia devised by Adelaide choreographer and dancer Lina Limosani of Limosani Projekts, and Scottish director and performer Al Seed.
Successful London-based Made in Adelaide alumnus Carla Lippis will also feature Adelaide acts as part of her Midnight Marauders season at Assembly Checkpoint, providing them with extra exposure in what is a competitive space.
Also joining the delegation will be 15 independent producers and presenters, including representatives from South Australian arts organisations including Australian Dance Theatre (ADT), Gobsmacked Theatre, Holden Street Theatres, Restless Dance Theatre, Slingsby and Tutti Arts.
